GHGL FY26 profit surges 22%

Mettis Global reported that Ghani Glass Limited (GHGL) lifted its net profit by 22% for the year to June 30, 2026, reaching Rs7.23bn from Rs5.90bn a year earlier. Earnings per share rose to Rs7.23 from Rs5.90, and the board put forward a Rs1 per share cash payout as a final dividend.

Net revenue edged up 6% to Rs48.36bn, while cost of sales grew more slowly, by 3%, to Rs34.30bn. That combination lifted gross profit 13% to Rs14.06bn, up from Rs12.47bn. Selling and distribution spending shrank 16% to Rs2.52bn, whereas administrative costs climbed 10% to Rs2.58bn, while earnings from core business activities increased 25%, to Rs8.72bn.

Below the operating line, finance costs dropped 68%, to Rs34.46m from Rs107.07m. Although the associate's share of profit slipped 17% to Rs500.78m, lower finance costs and stronger core earnings pushed profit before tax up 23% to Rs9.18bn. The tax charge rose 24% to Rs1.96bn, leaving net profit at Rs7.23bn.
