45 Sindh traders register for TEI 2026

According to Business Recorder, 45 businesspeople from Sindh have signed up through the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi for the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026. Around 20 of them will receive delegation support arranged by the Consulate, chosen on the basis of their past import activity, ties with Indonesia, growth potential and fit with TEI's exhibiting sectors. Those not selected will take part on their own arrangements.
Participants come from Karachi as well as Hyderabad and Nawabshah. The session in Karachi on Tuesday was a pre-departure technical meeting followed by a business lunch, and it discussed partner matching, how participation would be organised and the openings on offer at the fair. The expo is set for October 14-18, 2026, in ICE BSD City, Greater Jakarta.
Consul General Mudzakir said the mission is aimed at tangible results instead of counting delegates or appointments, and he hoped new contacts would turn into lasting partnerships. He also cited TEI 2025, which produced USD22.8 billion in transactions, drew over 34,000 visitors and more than 8,000 foreign buyers. Last year a 25-member group handled by the Consulate secured about USD22.9 million in agreements spanning commodities, automotive parts, textiles, pharmaceuticals and food. This year the Consulate plans 200 B2B meetings that pair Pakistani importers with Indonesian suppliers, and participants are slated to join the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) in Jakarta.
