PSX Closing Bell: A Brutal Red Finish
METTIS GLOBAL • • 1 min read

Pakistan’s KSE-100 index dropped 2,006.67 points, or 1.21%, to 163,924.31 on Thursday, Mettis Global reported. The benchmark swung from an intraday high of 166,180.32 to a low of 163,782.41, while 85 index constituents fell, 13 rose and two were unchanged.
The report linked the broad sell-off to rising oil prices and renewed Middle East tensions after fresh Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia, which raised concerns about energy supply disruption, import costs and pressure on the external account. Commercial banks contributed the most to the index decline, followed by cement and investment companies; ENGROH was the biggest individual drag, while UPFL made the largest positive contribution. The All-Share Index fell 1.08% to 99,526.87, and total market turnover was Rs18.00 billion.
