At-Tahur profit falls 27% to Rs31m in 1QFY27

At-Tahur Limited (PREMA) reported consolidated profit after tax of Rs31.47 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, down 26.59% from Rs42.87 million a year earlier, Mettis Global reported. Basic and diluted earnings per share fell 30% to Rs0.14. Revenue increased 11.61% to Rs1.73 billion, while gains on dairy livestock fair values rose 25.76% to Rs309.27 million.
Higher revenue and an 88.32% increase in other income helped lift operating profit 14.89% to Rs129.81 million. However, finance costs climbed 51.20% to Rs76.68 million, alongside higher other, administrative and selling expenses, reducing profit before tax by 26.59% to Rs31.47 million. The company recorded no tax in either quarter, while the levy rose 11.61% to Rs21.66 million.
The results show that revenue growth and stronger operating profit did not prevent a decline in At-Tahur’s quarterly earnings, with increased financing and operating costs weighing on the reported profit.
