Sazgar to launch Cannon Alpha in coming months: report
BUSINESS RECORDER • • 1 min read

Sazgar Engineering Works is set to introduce its Cannon Alpha in Pakistan in the months ahead, according to Business Recorder, which relayed a Topline Securities note. Management indicated during a corporate briefing that the model will carry a competitive price tag. Topline published its report on Saturday, adding that the company also showed a wider range of new energy vehicles at the Pakistan Auto Show last week.
Management said upcoming models will lean more toward plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, a shift linked to hopes that the forthcoming auto policy will support that segment. Among the energy vehicles displayed at the event were the Tank 300 and Jolion Max. Meanwhile, the company is shouldering the recent GST increase so that buyers purchasing today are not burdened, while it anticipates a favourable policy that could bring lower GST.
Sazgar has 32 dealerships in operation, a network management describes as the biggest of any new entrant in Pakistan. Another five to six are expected to become operational soon. Its manufacturing plants are located in Lahore.
