METTIS GLOBAL • • 1 min read

Mettis Global reported that BankIslami Pakistan Limited has appointed Imran Haleem Shaikh as its President and chief executive, with the change taking effect on September 29, 2026. The bank disclosed the move through a notification to the exchange, which referred back to an earlier letter dated August 10, 2026. The filing was dated September 28, 2026.
Shaikh has held the deputy chief executive role at BankIslami since January 2024, before taking the top job. Prior to moving to BankIslami, he had spent over 13 years at JS Bank. The change moves a senior executive already working inside the bank into its top position, following a career that spanned several business lines at JS Bank.
