BankIslami 9M profit falls 39% to Rs3bn
METTIS GLOBAL • • 1 min read

BankIslami Pakistan’s consolidated profit after tax dropped 39.23% to Rs3.08bn for the nine months through September 30, 2026, Mettis Global reported. Earnings per share also declined, from Rs4.58 to Rs2.78 year on year.
The result was weighed down by securities income turning into a small loss from a Rs3.36bn gain a year earlier, alongside a 15.81% increase in operating expenses. Net profit/return rose 3.92% to Rs27.39bn, while foreign exchange income climbed 62.82% to Rs1.71bn, but these gains did not offset the fall in total other income, down 36.11% to Rs4.62bn. A larger reversal of credit loss provisions and lower taxation partly softened the decline, with profit before tax falling 40.71% to Rs6.44bn.
