Cement despatches from mills rose 5.95% in September 2026 to 4.621 million tons, up from 4.361 million tons a year earlier, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). Domestic deliveries accounted for most of the gain, climbing 7.35% to 3.788 million tons, while exports were almost unchanged at 832,173 tons against 831,966 tons. Mettis Global carried the figures from the association's press release.
Northern mills dispatched 3.164 million tons, a 2.43% decline, with the whole volume sold in the domestic market, while shipments abroad from the north dropped from 221,252 tons to nothing. Southern producers stood out, lifting despatches 30.23% to 1.46 million tons, with exports jumping 36.26% to 832,173 tons. For the July to September quarter of FY27, total despatches grew 3.88% to 13.141 million tons, though shipments abroad declined 11.32%, reaching 2.296 million tons.
The APCMA spokesman voiced worry about falling exports and persistent swings in energy costs. He hoped that easing geopolitical strain would soon help the sector recover from a difficult period.
