BBFL bets on capacity, margins and the Gulf for its next growth chapter
Mettis Global • • 1 min read

Big Bird Foods Limited (PSX:BBFL) plans to lift the use of its production capacity, widen its value-added range and push further into retail, institutional sales and overseas markets, according to Mettis Global. The company's annual report 2026 says growth will focus on profitability and sustainability, with better efficiency, stronger margins and tighter working capital management. Management also wants its systems and staff to keep pace with the larger scale of operations.
Leadership believes the company has the infrastructure, market potential and people to rank among Pakistan's top integrated food producers and, eventually, be recognised in international halal markets. During the year the company added new retail chains, strengthened its distribution network and broadened consumer access. Work also continued on closer relationships with institutional and food-service buyers. The company plans to keep investing in technology, operational efficiency and human capital.
The CEO described advances in overseas sales, chiefly in the Gulf, where the company has secured an order from a Gulf-based halal food firm covering unprocessed chicken and additional processed poultry goods. Management said the order should about double present export volumes and that gains will show in the next financial year through higher foreign exchange earnings and a broader revenue mix. The company also cited its solar power infrastructure and wider energy-efficiency work as steps to reduce reliance on conventional energy and help manage operating costs.
