Mettis Global reported that bitcoin climbed back to $82,000 on Friday, lifting itself from lows touched late on Thursday when the wider crypto market slid. At the time of the report, bitcoin stood 0.84 per cent higher at $82,640.
Trump's post on Truth Social also described talks with Iran as productive, while stating that the US blockade stays fully in place. According to CoinDesk, selling pressure in bitcoin seemed to ease near $80,300 after the post, and prices then rose steadily to $82,000. Ether, XRP, Solana and other tokens also reduced the losses they had taken on Thursday as geopolitical worries subsided.
