Business Recorder reported that The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL) recorded a 12.11 percent fall in net sales in 2026, to Rs12,310.21 million. Export sales slid 16.86 percent and accounted for 54.61 percent of the sales mix, down from 58 percent in 2025. Net profit dropped 65.65 percent to Rs139.489 million, equal to an EPS of Rs0.71 and a net margin of 1.13 percent.
Costlier diesel and electricity, which the report ties to a Middle Eastern crisis, weighed on margins in the second half of 2026. Operating profit fell 58 percent, while finance cost was cut 54.24 percent on monetary easing and gearing stood at 6 percent.
The headcount fell to 248 in 2026 from 352 a year earlier, and the company moved from direct exporting to selling to local customers. The report says the company expects its focus on expansion, efficiency and a wider sales and channel mix to produce positive results. Administrative expense rose 2 percent, while other income fell 84.60 percent due to exchange losses.
