AKBL 9MCY26 profit accelerates 13%

Askari Bank Limited (AKBL) recorded consolidated net profit of Rs20.49 billion for the nine months to September 30, 2026, up 13% from Rs18.20 billion a year earlier, Mettis Global reported. The board also approved an interim cash dividend of Rs2 per share, while earnings per share increased to Rs14.14 from Rs12.56. In Q3CY26, however, profit was Rs7.15 billion, compared with Rs7.50 billion in the same quarter last year.

Net mark-up income rose 6% to Rs69.62 billion, while non-mark-up income grew 48% to Rs20.17 billion, supported by higher foreign exchange earnings, fees and securities gains. Operating expenses climbed 39% to Rs47.47 billion, but a Rs1.80 billion reversal of credit loss provisions and a 9% reduction in tax helped lift after-tax earnings; pre-tax profit was nearly unchanged at Rs43.54 billion.
