Mettis Global • • 1 min read

Agritech Limited reported a Rs4.15bn after-tax deficit for the nine months through September 30, 2026, reversing a Rs2.20bn profit in the comparable 2025 period, Mettis Global reported. The company’s loss per share was Rs6.92, whereas it had earned Rs3.67 per share a year earlier.
Revenue contracted 9.57% to Rs21.36bn, while production costs climbed 8.42% to Rs21.35bn. Consequently, gross profit nearly disappeared, falling 99.51% to Rs19.28m, and the business moved from operating profit of Rs1.41bn to an operating loss of Rs2.05bn. Other income also dropped 80.78% to Rs964.20m, adding to the pressure on earnings.
Reduced selling costs, lower finance charges and a larger tax credit softened the deterioration but did not prevent the loss. Finance costs eased 6.31% to Rs2.88bn, and the Rs466.21m tax credit helped narrow the final deficit from the Rs4.61bn pre-tax loss.
