Engro Holdings reported profit of Rs48.42bn for the nine months to September 30, 2026, down 41.68% from a year earlier, Mettis Global reported. Total earnings per share fell 24.70% to Rs24.33, while revenue increased 15.03% to Rs426.41bn and gross profit rose 26.08% to Rs119.08bn.
The comparison was affected by the lack of Rs36.18bn and Rs24.10bn in thermal-asset gains recorded in the prior-year period. Higher finance costs, up 24.44% to Rs32.95bn, and a 61.79% increase in minimum and final tax levies also weighed on earnings; a Rs1.87bn gain related to the SIDC provision provided some offset. Profit from continuing operations fell 44.55% to Rs48.11bn, while discontinued operations contributed Rs313.96m, compared with a loss in the corresponding period last year.
