Oil marketing companies in Pakistan lifted their total offtake by 7% month on month in September 2026, to 1.35 million tons from 1.26 million tons in August, Mettis Link News reported. Compared with a year earlier, however, volumes slipped 2% from 1.37 million tons, a decline the report puts down to higher fuel prices that weighed on petrol and diesel demand.

Motor Spirit (MS) volumes fell to 0.65 million tons, down 5% year on year and 2% from August, while furnace oil (FO) jumped 601% from a very low base of 0.01 million tons a year earlier.
PSO posted 0.64 million tons, up 12% both year on year and month on month, with HSD growth of 35% month on month leading the gain. APL recorded 0.12 million tons, flat against last year, while Wafi Energy reached 0.11 million tons, down 6% annually. Cumulatively, the first quarter of FY27 saw volumes of 4.11 million tons, up 6% from 3.89 million tons, based on data compiled by Arif Habib Limited from OCAC figures.
