PSHL acquires 25.42% stake in Asia Insurance

Mettis Global reported that Private Stock Holding Limited (PSHL) completed the purchase of 18,558,243 ordinary shares in Asia Insurance Company Limited (PSX: ASIC) on October 9, 2026, citing a filing lodged with the PSX. The shares, equal to 25.42% of the insurer's issued capital, had been held by InsuResilience Investment Fund (IIF), which was a substantial shareholder with that same stake.

Earlier, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan granted clearance for PSHL to buy the full block, following an application from IIF. That clearance was made subject to conditions set out in the deal between IIF and PSHL. ASIC's filing dated May 18, 2026 disclosed the approval, and the October filing now records the completed transfer of that stake.
