Citi Pharma gets CCP Nod for 100% acquisition of Pakheim International Pharma
Mettis Global • • 1 min read

Mettis Link News reported that the Competition Commission of Pakistan has authorised Citi Pharma Limited (PSX: CPHL) to acquire the entire shareholding of Pakheim International Pharma (Private) Limited. The pharmaceutical company disclosed the approval through a PSX filing, citing an order dated October 9, 2026, issued under Case No. 1614/Merger-CCP/2026.
After its review, the CCP judged that the deal poses no competition problems, clearing the way for the authorisation. The acquisition will proceed under the share purchase agreement of May 6, 2026, once all outstanding legal, regulatory and other steps are finished.
For PSX investors, the filing confirms that the competition hurdle has been cleared, while completion still depends on the remaining legal and regulatory steps. The approval is therefore a milestone in a transaction that was agreed earlier in the year.
At a glance
- The CCP authorised Citi Pharma's proposed acquisition of 100% of Pakheim International Pharma.
- The CCP determined the deal raises no competition concerns.
- Completion depends on the share purchase agreement and remaining legal and regulatory formalities.
