Pakistan receives second LNG cargo from Qatar in October as winter gas supply concerns mount
PROFIT BY PAKISTAN TODAY • • 1 min read

Pakistan received another Qatari LNG delivery in October when the vessel Ejnan reached the Pakistan GasPort Limited terminal, Profit by Pakistan Today reported. The arrival restored regasification at the facility, which had been idle from October 9 because its LNG stocks were inadequate. The gas is to be processed there before being fed into the national network.
This was the month’s second shipment, following the arrival of Al Areesh on October 13. The delivery comes as gas availability on the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited network falls while power producers and industrial users need more, and concerns persist about winter cargo reliability amid regional tensions affecting production and shipping. Pakistan is estimated to need 24 LNG cargoes during winter 2026-27, leaving future supplies an important issue as seasonal consumption rises.
