Macter International 1Q profit falls 34% to Rs96m
METTIS GLOBAL • • 1 min read

Macter International’s consolidated net earnings dropped 33.98% year on year to Rs95.92 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, Mettis Global reported. Earnings per share also declined, from Rs3.22 to Rs2.10. The result came despite an 11.72% increase in revenue to Rs3.20 billion and a 14.17% rise in gross profit to Rs1.47 billion.
Higher costs below gross profit weighed on the outcome. Selling and distribution expenses grew 28.10% to Rs1.06 billion, while finance costs rose 60.02% to Rs54.06 million; operating profit consequently fell 22.61% to Rs213.48 million. A lower income tax expense, down 34.38% to Rs63.50 million, did not prevent the decline in final profit, which compared with Rs145.29 million a year earlier.
