MCB Bank 9M profit slips to Rs44bn, declares Rs9 dividend

MCB Bank reported consolidated profit after tax of Rs44.33 billion for the nine months to September 30, 2026, down 0.66% from a year earlier, according to Mettis Global. Earnings per share eased to Rs37.26 from Rs37.42. The bank also announced a third interim dividend of Rs9 per share for the quarter, following Rs18 per share already paid.

Revenue growth did not fully translate into higher earnings: total income advanced 6.89% to Rs160.70 billion, while non-markup expenses rose 10.75% to Rs69.82 billion. Net interest income increased 5.08% and non-markup income climbed 14.11%, supported by higher fee income and securities gains, but the credit-loss allowance reversal was far smaller than a year earlier. The results put MCB Bank’s earnings, costs and shareholder distributions in focus for investors tracking listed commercial banks.
