Diesel price rises Rs1.64, petrol falls Rs1.60 per litre

Mettis Global reported that Pakistan’s ex-depot fuel rates changed from October 23, 2026, with high-speed diesel becoming Rs1.64 per litre more expensive and petrol declining by Rs1.60 per litre. The revised prices are Rs391.75 for diesel and Rs377.71 for petrol, compared with Rs390.11 and Rs379.31, respectively, under the previous rates.

The Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division announced the revision through the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government, while OGRA revised the ex-depot rates. The report attributed the adjustments to movements in global factors, including Platts rates, premiums and incidentals. The change matters to investors tracking fuel costs and the oil marketing sector, as the two main transport fuels moved in opposite directions.
