LPG vessel carrying 4,000 metric tons arrives at Port Qasim
Business Recorder • • 1 min read

Business Recorder reported that the Yellowstone, carrying 4,000 metric tons of LPG from Bahrain, reached Port Qasim on October 24. The vessel docked at 8:42am, and cargo handling has started, according to a Port Qasim Authority statement issued on Sunday.
The arrival comes as Pakistan faces concerns about LPG shortages and higher prices. The fuel is used by households without piped natural gas and by commercial businesses, while trade through the Gabd-Rimdan crossing with Iran resumed on Saturday, potentially allowing trucks carrying LPG and other essential goods to move after a weeklong suspension. The report says the imported cargo could support availability, although distribution speed and market conditions will influence its effect on retail prices.
