PSX: buying at bourse, KSE-100 gains over 950 points
Business Recorder • • 1 min read

The KSE-100 was up 959.08 points, or 0.59%, at 163,997.54 by 10:05am on Tuesday, as buyers returned to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Business Recorder said the early advance followed the SBP’s 50bps policy-rate increase, with interest spanning cement, banks, oil and gas exploration, and marketing companies.
The move followed Monday’s 663.59-point rise, which took the index to 163,038.47 before the central bank’s announcement. Asian markets also climbed, with South Korea’s KOSPI up more than 4% and Japan’s Nikkei gaining 1.9%; the report cited Anthropic’s IPO filing and Meta’s planned fundraising among factors lifting global risk appetite. This is an intraday update, so the index level reflects trading at the stated time, not a closing result.
