Business Recorder • • 1 min read

Business Recorder reported that the KSE-100 was nearly unchanged by midday on Friday, October 30, 2026. At noon, it stood at 167,128.21, lower by 65.22 points, or 0.04%, as selling pressure affected several major sectors. HUBCO, MARI, PPL, MCB, MEBL, NBP and UBL were among the index-heavy shares in negative territory.
The finance ministry estimated October inflation at 9.5% to 10.5%, citing higher domestic food and energy costs and developments abroad. Overseas markets were weaker on Friday, with Asian technology shares under pressure amid concerns about returns from heavy AI investment; this is an intraday update.
