Dawn • • 1 min read

Sazgar Engineering Works has started vehicle assembly in the Philippines, where President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr inaugurated the facility on Thursday, Dawn reported. The Pakistan embassy said the company is bringing passenger and commercial three-wheelers, along with electric vehicles, to the Southeast Asian market, with embassy support.
The plant is designed to build about 12,000 three-wheelers each year, using both electric and internal-combustion powertrains. Marcos described the opening as a step for Philippine manufacturing and cleaner transport, while Sazgar selected the country as its first base beyond Pakistan and a hub for Southeast Asia. The company says it already exports three-wheelers and components to more than 20 countries, including Japan, the UAE, Sri Lanka and Nigeria.
