Business Recorder • • 1 min read

The KSE-100 finished Monday at 166,564.06 points, up 154.81 points, or 0.09%, Business Recorder reported. The benchmark moved between gains and losses, reaching a low of 165,585.42 before a sharp afternoon rebound took it to 166,989.76. It gave up part of that advance by the close.
The gain followed a stronger week for the PSX: the index rose 4,034.37 points, or 2.5%, to 166,409.25, ending a five-week run of losses. Business Recorder said renewed hopes for progress in regional peace talks had supported broad buying in major sectors the previous week. Internationally, Asian markets were mixed on Monday, while oil prices eased as discussions involving Iranian and Qatari mediators continued.
