Karachi to get Pakistan’s largest public facilitation centre
METTIS GLOBAL • • 1 min read

Mettis Link News reported that Pakistan intends to build a large public facilitation centre in Karachi under the Federal Ministry of Interior, described as the biggest of its kind in the country. The proposed Grand Facilitation Centre would combine services now spread across several government departments and locations into one window.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has asked authorities to prepare and submit a master plan for the centre within 10 days, and to include all the requirements needed to set it up. The centre would handle passport work, identity card services, weapon licences, several no-objection certificates and other public services offered by bodies under the ministry.
The minister also reviewed preparations at the Interior Ministry office on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi. The arrangement could mean fewer trips for citizens who currently visit several offices for Interior Ministry services.
