‘Lifecycle completed’: Honda Atlas discontinues BR-V production in Pakistan
BUSINESS RECORDER • • 1 min read

Honda Atlas Cars Ltd (HACL) has stopped producing the BR-V in Pakistan, according to Business Recorder, which reported the move on Wednesday. The HR-V, City and Civic will remain in the company's local range. A senior HACL official confirmed the decision and said the halt had been planned gradually three to four months earlier.
The official tied the move to the difficulty of launching a new model in the current economic climate, noting that the BR-V had been on sale for roughly a decade. Auto expert Usman Ansari said the vehicle, introduced around 2016, now sells for close to triple its launch price despite dated features and a non-turbocharged engine. He described it as a seven-seat van that only looks like an SUV.
Ansari added that India dropped the model a few years ago, while Malaysia and Indonesia have given it a new look and still sell it.
