September inflation rises to 10.3%
Mettis Global • • 1 min read

Mettis Global reported that Pakistan's headline inflation, measured through the Consumer Price Index, stood at 10.3% year-on-year in September 2026. That was lower than the 11.1% recorded in August, although the rate stayed in double digits. The monthly print therefore shows a step back from the previous reading without bringing inflation below 10%.
The figure landed very close to a projection of 10.39% that Mettis Global had made for the month. The actual reading was therefore about 0.09 percentage points below that estimate, a small gap between forecast and outcome. The comparison is made against the publisher's own estimate, so the gap measures how close that forecast came.
For PSX investors, the September figure offers an updated reading of consumer price pressure in the economy. Inflation remaining in double digits continues to shape the backdrop against which listed companies report their results.
