EPCL returns to profit with Rs399m earnings in 9MCY26

Engro Polymer and Chemicals (EPCL) reported net earnings of Rs399.06 million for the nine months to September 30, 2026, reversing a Rs2.83 billion loss a year earlier, Mettis Global reported. Basic earnings per share recovered to Rs0.44 from a loss of Rs3.12. Revenue advanced 12.03% to Rs63.94 billion, while gross profit increased 30.19% to Rs5.07 billion.

The improvement reflected higher other income, stronger gross profit and lower other expenses, alongside an income tax credit of Rs821.73 million. Other income climbed to Rs2.72 billion from Rs568.95 million, helping operating profit rise to Rs5.61 billion. However, finance costs also grew, reaching Rs5.64 billion, and a Rs396.95 million final tax charge partly offset the gains.
