BUSINESS RECORDER • • 1 min read

The KSE-100 stood at 165,534.37 by 9:39am on Thursday, down 396.61 points, or 0.24%, in early trading, Business Recorder reported. Selling was reported across automobile assemblers, cement, oil and gas exploration, oil marketing, power generation and refinery shares. Among the index-heavy stocks trading lower were HUBCO, MARI, OGDC, PPL, PSO, SSGC, HBL and UBL.
The decline followed Wednesday’s 779.34-point advance, which took the index to 165,930.99 after institutional buying and optimism around diplomatic efforts and the draft Auto Policy 2026-31. Overseas, Asian shares were weaker in early trade, while US stock futures also fell; technology earnings offered some support to Wall Street overnight. The publisher described its report as an intraday update.
