OGDCL starts gas, condensate production from Bitrism East-1 well in Sindh
PROFIT BY PAKISTAN TODAY • • 1 min read

OGDCL has brought the Bitrism East-1 well in Sindh into production, initially yielding gas at 7 million standard cubic feet daily and condensate at 200 barrels per day. The company disclosed the start-up to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Thursday, following its October 1, 2025 announcement of a discovery at the site.
The well taps the Basal Sands within the Lower Goru Formation in Khairpur district. OGDCL has laid a roughly 28-kilometre, 8-inch pipeline from the well to its Sinjhoro processing facility, paying for the link itself; treated gas is now entering SSGCL’s network. OGDCL holds a 77.5% interest in the exploration licence, with Government Holdings (Private) Limited owning the balance, and says output could rise as flows settle.
