PROFIT BY PAKISTAN TODAY • • 1 min read

Pakistan’s KSE-100 was down 1,440.97 points, or 0.88%, at 162,483.34 by 11:25am on Friday, after selling drove it to an intraday low of 162,447.86. Profit by Pakistan Today reported losses across automobile assemblers, cement, banks, oil and gas, power generation and refinery shares, following a 2,006.67-point fall on Thursday.
The report linked the selling to geopolitical uncertainty, higher oil prices and concerns about Pakistan’s external financing. The IMF’s October outlook said the country’s external position could weaken as imports rise and remittances moderate, while a prolonged Middle East conflict could add to inflation and government borrowing costs. Asian shares also fell amid pressure on technology stocks and concerns about AI investment spending; Brent crude had settled at $113.17 per barrel after rising 4% on Thursday.
