Mettis Global reported that domestic 24-karat gold climbed Rs3,500 on Wednesday, reaching Rs425,636 per tola. The 10-gram rate advanced Rs3,001 to Rs364,914, while 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs334,516 per 10 grams, based on figures from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association.
Silver also moved higher in Pakistan: 24-karat prices gained Rs61 to Rs5,854 per tola and Rs52 to Rs5,018 per 10 grams. In international trade, spot gold was near $4,040 an ounce, down $22.5, or 0.55%, as higher crude oil prices raised inflation concerns and investors awaited the US Federal Reserve’s rate decision. These figures present a mixed picture, with local bullion prices rising while the global spot price slipped. The daily gold and silver rates matter to readers tracking domestic precious-metal prices and the commodities market.
