Business Recorder reported that Dar chaired a Cabinet Committee on Surplus Sugar meeting on Thursday to settle policy guidance for export decisions.

Dar said exports could assist farmers, the sugar industry and foreign-exchange reserves, but stressed that domestic prices and supply must be protected. He instructed authorities to monitor the supply chain and guard against market disruption during exports.
