Pakistani traders: Proposal for 1 year multiple-entry visas to be considered: BD envoy
Business Recorder • • 1 min read

Bangladesh will consider a request for one-year visas allowing Pakistani traders multiple entries, Deputy High Commissioner Sakib Sadakat said at a meeting with a Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association delegation. Business Recorder reported that Sadakat also said the association’s recommendations would receive priority.
The delegation, led by Chairman Muhammad Saleem Mukati, raised the difficulties caused by single-entry visas and sought contact information for traders in Bangladesh’s chemicals and dyes businesses. Sadakat said the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission could assist Pakistani business visitors, including by arranging meetings with Bangladeshi traders and supporting participation in trade exhibitions.
The association said Pakistani chemicals traders already have significant commercial links with Bangladesh, and argued that easier repeat visits could help build trade and export opportunities. The visa proposal remains under consideration; the report does not say that a change has been approved.
