Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue has ordered registered tyre makers to install electronic systems that record production and send data to the authority by November 30, 2026. The directive covers manufacturers under the Third Schedule of the Sales Tax Act and took effect immediately, according to Profit by Pakistan Today.
The equipment must count finished tyres, identify product categories and report output in real time, while flagging stoppages, equipment faults and possible interference. Tyres cannot be taken off manufacturers’ premises unless their production has been recorded through the system, and businesses must provide the required infrastructure and pay applicable charges. The FBR named Ghandhara Tyre and Rubber, Service Long March Tyres, Panther Tyres and Service Industries among nine manufacturers, while clarifying that other registered producers are also covered.
