The Express Tribune • • 1 min read

The KSE-100 ended October at 166,409, down 3,560 points, or 2.1% for the month, according to The Express Tribune. The index rebounded by more than 4,800 points over four sessions late in the month, briefly moving above 167,000, but Friday’s 784-point decline erased part of that advance.
Geopolitical risks, overseas portfolio selling and profit-taking in large stocks were cited as pressures on the market. The report also noted the SBP’s 50-basis-point policy-rate increase to 12% on October 26, alongside October declines in average PSX trading volume and value. Arif Habib Limited said monthly average volume fell 21.8% to 471.9 million shares, while average traded value decreased 20.2% to $70.1 million.
