Pakistan has taken over as chair of the Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four (G-24), with Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb saying the role will be used to amplify developing economies’ concerns, Mettis Global reported. He identified climate shocks, gaps in development funding and fragmentation in the world economy as challenges requiring stronger cooperation and more effective multilateral institutions.
