BUSINESS RECORDER • • 1 min read

UBL Rural Bank has joined forces with Universal Agri Tractor Company, a G.M. Group company, in a strategic alliance focused on speeding up farm mechanisation, widening access to agricultural finance and supporting the farming community. The agreement was signed on October 5 at Governor House Sindh, in a ceremony attended by Nehal Hashmi, Governor of Sindh. Business Recorder reported the signing.
Abdul Sattar Narejo, Head Rural Bank, represented the bank at the event, while Zain Wahab, Managing Partner, and Wahab GM, Owner, spoke for the tractor firm. The gathering also drew provincial officials, business figures, company leaders and industry participants.
Addressing the audience, Governor Hashmi stressed the value of efforts that improve farm finance and modern machinery access, saying they match wider government moves to promote agriculture, rural communities and the farming sector. The alliance therefore pairs a rural lending arm with a machinery supplier, bringing finance and equipment together under one initiative.
