Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan COLG signed an asset purchase agreement on October 28, 2026, to acquire land, a manufacturing facility and related assets at Port Qasim, Karachi, from Procter & Gamble Pakistan (Private) Limited. The transaction is subject to approval from the Competition Commission of Pakistan, according to a filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan was established in 1977 as National Detergents Limited. It adopted its current name in 1990, when it entered a Participation Agreement with Colgate-Palmolive Company of the United States. Its business includes manufacturing and selling detergents, personal care products and related goods.
The agreement follows plans announced in May by P&G Pakistan to sell the Port Qasim land, factory and related assets to Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan. The previous year, P&G announced that it would discontinue its Pakistan operations as part of a global restructuring. The wind-down covered manufacturing and commercial activities at P&G Pakistan and Gillette Pakistan, with the companies moving to a third-party distributor model to serve consumers from P&G's other regional operations.
Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan closed at Rs1,179.12 on Thursday, October 29.
