Without furnace oil, volumes were 5.9% lower year on year. High-speed diesel sales fell 7.3% to 0.66 million tons and motor spirit declined 2.3% to 0.64 million tons, while furnace oil sales climbed 243% to 0.09 million tons.
The industry’s October sales were 9.7% higher than September’s 1.35 million tons, and volumes for the first four months of FY27 rose 4% year on year to 5.59 million tons. PSO’s October sales increased 8% year on year to 0.69 million tons, WAFI’s rose 11% to 0.13 million tons, and APL’s slipped 1% to 0.12 million tons; their four-month volumes increased 15%, 7% and 8%, respectively. The figures show contrasting company-level volume trends within the oil marketing sector alongside a year-on-year decline in overall October sales.
