Kohinoor Energy Limited (KOHE) posted profit after tax of Rs411.78 million for the three months to September 30, 2026, nearly three times the Rs139.52 million recorded a year earlier, Mettis Global reported. Earnings per share increased to Rs2.43 from Rs0.82 in the corresponding quarter of FY26. Sales reached Rs4.47 billion, compared with Rs798.47 million in the prior-year period.
Gross profit climbed to Rs549.38 million from Rs222.77 million, while operating profit rose to Rs471.68 million. The company attributed the stronger performance to greater electricity dispatch off-take, while finance costs also increased substantially, reaching Rs61.71 million versus Rs15.19 million. Administrative expenses rose 10.2% to Rs77.70 million, and the quarter's tax charge was Rs52 thousand.
The results show a sharp year-on-year improvement in KOHE's quarterly earnings alongside significant growth in sales and operating profit. For investors following the power generation sector, the figures also highlight the increase in borrowing costs during the period.
