OGDCL directed to provide details of its funds allocation

A Senate Petroleum Sub-Committee has asked Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) to submit district-level and gas-field-level records of its Corporate Social Responsibility and royalty funds, including allocations, releases and spending. Business Recorder reported that the committee wants the information to improve transparency and track development commitments.

The panel also raised delayed village gasification near fields in Ghotki, Qadirpur and other parts of Sindh, and expressed concern about LPG supply and safety. Separately, SSGC told the committee that the projected cost of the Badar Gas Field scheme had fallen from Rs884 million to Rs664 million after previously available materials were included. The committee also sought ministry records sent to the Economic Coordination Committee and urged implementation of its pending recommendations.
