OGDCL profit surges 53% to Rs58.5bn in September quarter

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) recorded Rs58.5 billion in consolidated earnings for the quarter to September 30, 2026, compared with Rs38.3 billion a year earlier, Business Recorder reported. Earnings per share came to Rs13.60, versus Rs8.91 in the comparable period. The board also announced an interim payment of Rs5 per share, described as its largest first-quarter dividend to date.

Quarterly revenue reached Rs132.4 billion from Rs96.2 billion, while gross profit advanced to Rs83.1 billion from Rs56.3 billion. Finance and other income contributed Rs13.8 billion, and the company’s share of associates’ profit was Rs3.94 billion. Exploration spending rose to Rs4.8 billion; administrative expenses edged up to Rs2.2 billion, while finance costs eased to Rs1.16 billion. Before income and final taxes, profit stood at Rs88 billion, against Rs62 billion in the prior-year quarter.
