OGDCL reports 53pc profit surge in 1QFY27 YoY

OGDCL posted profit after tax of Rs58.5 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, up 53 percent year on year, Business Recorder reported. The board also approved an interim dividend of Rs5.00 per share, compared with Rs3.50 a year earlier. Sales revenue climbed 38 percent to Rs132.4 billion, while earnings per share rose to Rs13.60 from Rs8.91.

Higher production volumes and improved realised prices supported the results, although forced curtailments reduced output and cost an estimated Rs9.7 billion in sales. Average daily saleable production increased across crude oil, gas and LPG, while four newly connected wells and equipment upgrades contributed to growth. The company said production constraints imposed by SNGPL and UPL remained a drag, but the estimated revenue loss was lower than the Rs19.3 billion recorded in the same quarter last year.
