Cherat Cement to acquire 13% stake in Nimir Industrial Chemicals

Cherat Cement Company has agreed to buy 14,457,000 shares, or 13.07% of Nimir Industrial Chemicals, for Rs340 per share. The transaction is valued at about Rs4.92 billion, with the shares being sold by Nadeem Nisar and Shaheen Nadeem, both substantial shareholders in Nimir.

Mettis Global reported that the share purchase agreement was signed on October 30, 2026. The sellers notified Nimir on November 2, and the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange on November 3. Completion depends on the agreement’s terms and applicable conditions, including regulatory approvals where required.

The proposed transfer links a cement company with a chemicals producer through a significant shareholding transaction. Its completion remains conditional, so the disclosed agreement does not confirm that the stake has already changed hands.
