Business Recorder • • 1 min read

Vietnam’s State Treasury raised 10.8 trillion dong, equal to $419.7 million, through its weekly government-bond auction on Wednesday, Business Recorder reported. The proceeds were below the revised $874 million recorded in the previous week’s sale. This means the latest auction’s reported fundraising was less than half the preceding week’s total.
According to a Hanoi Stock Exchange filing, buyers purchased 86% of the bonds offered, compared with 87% at the earlier auction. The proportion sold therefore declined by one percentage point, alongside the lower proceeds. For investors tracking sovereign borrowing, the figures provide a week-on-week view of Vietnam’s bond-sale proceeds and the share of bonds placed.
