Business Recorder reported on Wednesday that Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has set its winter gas distribution timetable for domestic consumers. The schedule divides household supply into three daily windows, with the utility saying it would prioritise domestic customers under directives from the Government of Pakistan and provide gas during designated cooking hours.
Breakfast supply is scheduled from 6:30am to 9:00am, lunch from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, and dinner from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. SSGC distributes natural gas in Sindh and Balochistan through a network of approximately 55,000 kilometres, serving 3.2 million customers, including 4,500 industries. Business Recorder also cited the company’s past challenges, including accumulated losses, unaccounted-for-gas losses, unsettled financial statements and liabilities linked to circular debt in the gas sector.
