Pakistan National Shipping Corporation: performance and outlook
Business Recorder • • 1 min read

Business Recorder’s review says Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) lifted revenue 58.21% to Rs59,547.449 million in 2026, while net profit rose 5.37% to Rs21,546.96 million. In the first quarter of FY27, revenue more than doubled to Rs21,290.184 million and profit increased 164.71% to Rs9,833.336 million, supported by growth across revenue streams and stronger liquid-cargo activity.
The company added three vessels in 2026 and placed an order for a locally built container ship. Higher fleet costs contributed to a 437.63% rise in finance cost for the year, and the review identifies freight-rate volatility and borrowing costs as risks. Separately, PNSC has received a ministry letter on a proposed 29.5% acquisition by National Logistics Corporation, including a proposed transfer of management control, after approval by the ECC and Federal Cabinet.
